I would like to thank Jessie and Phil for sharing their personal EVPs from their recent overnight at the Shanley Hotel in Nappanoch, NY with our Haunted Hudson Valley Community. Take a listen and tell us what you think. Click on the links below and the file will play in a new window.

Here are some EVPs from the Shanley Hotel. You need to really turn up the sound (a pair of noise canceling headphones works great!) as 4 out of 5 answers are very low whispers. You will hear chatter from other investigators who are usually on a completely different floor or in another room – just think of them as static noise and try to block them out if you can.
Our favorite is the first EVP. A young child talks over our voices (my husband and I) and says loud and clear something like “yoohoo…come on over in here”. We were the only people on the third floor at the time, and we couldn’t hear her with our ears, but on the EVP she sounds like she’s shouting right next to us.

The ‘crickets’ EVP is a woman answering ‘no’ in a low whisper when I ask if they like the sound of cicadas and crickets.

The third EVP is a woman whispering what sounds like “help us”.

The fourth EVP a man whispers what sounds like “don’t go” over my voice as I’m stating ‘you can shift a couple of things outta…”

The fifth EVP is my huband asking “you want to let people know you’re here” and you hear a low “no” being whispered in response.

Sorry about that. I am moving things around on the site a bit, what an great EVP. So loud and clear. How many hours of recording did you get?
LOL – you sound like me. I didn’t sleep most of the night at the Shanley (especially after being woken up by something touching my face) and after listening to the EVPs I spooked myself and couldn’t sleep at home!
I fixed the spelling of the name. I am running a a low dose of sleep lately! I am going to add their events to the calendar. I hope to make it out there soon. I am too creeped out to stay by myself. With all this haunted writing. I am putting myself on edge in the dark

It helps if I spell “conceive” right. Sorry about that. Just FYI in case you’re trying to look the hotel up, its the Shanley (no D in the name). They have a few new events coming up that you can join and do your own investigations during.

Glad you’re enjoying the EVPs. We were shocked when we heard the little girl’s voice. At first we couldn’t concieve of it being so loud and clear – its truly amazing!
That last one is seriously creepy!
I was listening to the first EVP and I was thinking to myself, “I don’t hear anything but people in the backgound.” Then I read your description again and thought holy #$% that is a child’s voice. You said no one else was there! Amazing!
